Dressing a Georgian lady: International Women’s Week

Georgian ladies had a fashion sense like no others!

Join us during York International Women’s Week, as our historical costumier takes you through the process of getting a Georgian lady ready for the day, and explains the making, wearing, development, and social context of historical fashions.

Get hands-on with some recreated historical garments, with opportunities to dress up yourself!

Daily demonstrations at 2.30pm from Wednesday 4 to Sunday 8 March.

Free with admission.
