Reduced ticket prices – Summer 2026

Between 25 June and 1 September 2026, our day admission prices have been reduced as part of the Government's Great British Summer Savings scheme which has cut VAT from 20% to 5% for this period.

General Admission

• Adults: £6.13 (normal price £7.00)
• Concessions (over 65s and students aged 16+ in full-time education): £4.81 (normal price £5.50)
• Children (age 5+): £3.06 (normal price £3.50)
• Children (under 5): FREE
• Family (2 adults and up to 3 children): £15.75 (normal price £18.00)

Tickets to be purchased at admission desk upon arrival.

Discounted Entry

English Heritage members, and City Sightseeing ticket holders receive 25% off admission.

50% off for York residents

York residents receive 50% upon presentation of proof of address or a York Card.

• Children (age 5+): £1.53 (normal price £1.75)
